The salary guide provides acomprehensive reference to the pay trends, positions and employment prospectsof several industries in mainland china. The salary range data is based on theactual wage and salary between the employer and the employee. 

Survey results of major industries in Hongkong:21142 

BANKING& FINANCE 

The banking and finance sector is expected to remain judicious in view of thecomplicated and volatile global environment. The pressure of cost reduction andtechnology advancement had caused much middle and back office layoffs in 2016.Under the conservative market sentiment, we expect an average salary incrementto be 8 to 10% for job switches and 2 to 4% for natural progressions. 

CORPORATEPROFESSIONALS: 

FINANCE& ACCOUNTING / LEGAL / HR 

The hiring sentiment of Q3 and Q4 of 2016 turned out to be brighter than expected.Should there be no grave traumas in the market, we expect the positive trend tocontinue into 2017. All in all, we expect financial professionals and legalprofessionals to command an average salary increment of 12 to 15% for jobswitches, and 6 to 8% for natural progressions; while HR professionals willreceive an average of 10 to 12 % for job switches, and 3 to 4% for naturalprogressions; while legal professionals 12 to 15% for job switches and 6 to 8%for natural progressions. 

ENGINEERING 

The lineup of commissioned transport and infrastructure projects in Hong Kong willat different project stages call for engineers of different focus. In general,the civil engineers, electrical & mechanical engineers, building andstructural engineers, and green/ environmental engineers will be in demand.Meanwhile, hiring originating from new residential developments will remainstable and constant. In general, we expect the average salary increment for jobswitch to be within 10%, while the well-qualified candidates with specializedskills can command an increment of up to 15%. 

HEALTHCARE& LIFE SCIENCES 

We expect the healthcare and life sciences industry to keep up with its stable growth.Local 

professionals with China and international experience, good language skills and a willingnessto travel will be the determining factors of a sought-after managementcandidate. Job-switch salary increment will be between 8 and 15%. 

INFORMATIONTECHNOLOGY & TELECOMMUNICATION:IT 

Despite the uncertain global economy, IT hiring is one of the few areas that is stillexpected to remain robust in 2017. In a nutshell, we expect the hiringsentiment to remain strong for mobile app developers, UX/UI designers, networkengineers, data scientists, data analysts and cybersecurity specialists. Ingeneral, salary increment for natural progression is expected to be around 5 to8%; that for job switches will be 10 to 11%; and for hot roles, 15% and above. 

INSURANCE 

HongKong is a developed insurance market with steady and moderate growth. M&Aactivities are expected to slow down even further in 2017 as a few big dealscompleted in 2016. All in all, we expect to see an average salary increment of15 to 17% for job switches and 4 to 5% for natural progressions.

中国香港主要行业的调查结果如下: 

银行与金融-鉴于复杂多变的全球环境,银行业和金融业预计将保持审慎的态度。成本降低和技术进步的压力,导致了该行业2016年许多中高层裁员。在保守的市场情绪下,预计跳槽者的平均工资增长为8%至10%,留职者的工资涨幅为2%至4%。 

公司的专业人士:财务会计/法律/人力资源-2016年第三季度和第四季度的招聘情况比预期的要好。如果市场没有受到严重的创伤,预计积极的趋势将持续到2017年。预计金融行业和法律专业人士的跳槽者将要求平均工资增长12%到15%,留职者的工资涨幅为6%到8%;人力资源专业人士跳槽者将获得10%到12%的平均工资涨幅,留职者的工资涨幅为3%到4%;法律专业人士跳槽者将获得12%到15%的平均工资涨幅,留职者的工资涨幅为6%到8%。

医疗与生命科学-医疗保健和生命科学行业将能够保持其稳定发展。具备中国和国际的经验、拥有良好的语言表达能力且愿意去外地工作的香港本地专业人士将是抢手的管理层候选人的决定因素。跳槽者的工资涨幅将在8%至15%之间。 

信息技术与电信:IT-尽管全球经济前景不明朗,但在2017年,IT行业的招聘仍有望继续保持竞争力。预计对移动应用程序开发者的招聘将保持强劲,如UX /UI设计师、网络工程师、数据科学家、数据分析师、网络安全专家。一般来说,留职者的工资涨幅预计将在5%至8%左右;跳槽者的工资涨幅为10%至11%;抢手职位的工资涨幅在15%及以上。 

保险--香港的保险市场发展完善,将保持稳定和适度增长。并购活动预计将在2017年进一步放缓,因为一些大型交易已在2016完成。总之,预计该行业的跳槽者工资涨幅为15%到17%,留职者工资涨幅为4%到5%。
