【Global】Survey shows training most likely investment

A newreport by Deloitte - Global perspectives for private companies: Plans, priorities, and expectations, shows that training is the investment companies are mostlikely to undertake in its employees (46% of respondent).  Othercategories (and corresponding findings) included leadership training (33%),increase full-time employees (31%), recruiting (26%), increase in compensation(24%), increase in part-time employees 17%). The survey represented thefeelings of 1,900 private-company leaders across 30 countries.

Thereport suggests that smaller private companies may be disadvantaged where theylack the brand recognition that larger companies typically have and where theymay not be able to offer the same large financial perks. Further, some smallerprivate companies are not located in metropolitan areas that attract youngerworkers. However, private companies could offer benefits to employees that largerpublic companies may not be able to match. These can include a better work/lifebalance with more flexible hours, and better access to senior leaders.
