Using Career Progression to Recruit theBest Professionals 

Vietnamese professionals are expected tohave more job opportunities across various industries due to favorable marketconditions in 2017, according to data from international recruitment firmRobert Walters. 

The data shows that qualified candidatesmoving jobs in 2017 can expect average salary increments of 10-25%. Employerswill also be focusing on hiring returning Vietnamese talent with overseas workexperience, commercial mindsets, and familiarity with the local workingculture. 

"Vietnam's reputation as an emergingeconomy has attracted overseas companies and encouraged the development ofstartup companies in the country," Gerrit Bouckaert, Country Manager of RobertWalters Thailand & Vietnam, said. "This will drive recruitment activity andprofessionals will have access to a wider pool of job opportunities. Employersshould consider retaining high performers by offering clear career developmentpaths and conduct annual reviews of remuneration and employee benefitpackages." 

Meanwhile, growth in electronicsmanufacturing and building and construction will drive demand for mid-tosenior-level engineers in the semiconductor, high-tech electronics, and factoryautomation sectors, as well as the automotive and chemical industries. The ITsector is also expected to grow along with accounting and finance.

数据显示,合格的候选人在2017年换工作,有望得到10-25%的平均加薪幅度。雇主还将关注招聘返回越南工作、具有海外工作经验、商业敏锐度并熟悉当地文化的人才。

与此同时,电子制造业和建筑业的发展将推动对半导体、高科技电子和工厂自动化行业以及汽车和化工行业的中高级工程师的需求。IT、会计和财务等行业也将迎来招聘的增长。
